~ The first Raw on TNN comes on the air and goes right to the intro with Jim Ross welcoming us to the show along with Jerry “The King” Lawler and proclaiming this the dawning of an “exciting new era” in the WWF. (For the five years it lasted, that is.)

~ Things kick off with Steve Austin coming out to the ring, returning after a long absence from Raw. After his usual posing Austin grabs a mic and says things have changed in the 10 months he’s been gone.

~ Unforgiven comes on the air with an intro video hyping tonight’s two main events as well as Steve Austin’s return. After that Jim Ross welcomes us the show along with Jerry “The King” Lawler as they buzz about the card. JR then mentions Shane McMahon claiming on Heat to have video evidence on the person that ran Austin down. We even get a shot of Kevin Kelly in the parking garage eagerly awaiting Austin’s arrival at the building.
